Description
The Atlas (Teramont) is the largest vehicle in the Volkswagen lineup, designed specifically for the North American and some Middle Eastern markets. Primarily developed in the North American region, the Atlas adopted its MQB platform from the VW Golf, showcasing Volkswagen’s modular architecture in a completely different vehicle class.
My contribution to this project focused on the development of the Body Control Module, which included several vehicle-specific enhancements. Among these were the integration of Online Remote Start, allowing customers to start their vehicle remotely via the VW app, and the introduction of the Child Presence Detection system, designed to identify if children were left unattended in the rear seat. Throughout the project, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a highly committed and talented team from Bosch and IAV.
